We need to put the "family" back into farming with all that entails;
friendships, cooperation, sharing, common values —
in other words, COMMUNITY.

Neither one offers privacy in the bathroom and, although it says there's a kitchen in the egg house, I do not see one.

Do you think more than one person could live in that egg? Maybe the egg shell is what provides the privacy? :dontknow: :D

Also, I don't see a kitchen either...but there is a pan or/and a glass on the right side in the shelf. Maybe that is their kitchen...add a hot plate in there and you can boil eggs? Toast or bacon, might be more difficult. If so, does a counter or table pull out?

I don't think more than one person could live there, but what if you had company and somebody had to pee?

I suppose you could set up a workable kitchen with only electric appliances. I have done that before, but it's hard to work with, especially the toaster oven and tiny refrigerator.

The Japanese have a different view about bodily functions than we do, there are not nearly as up tight.

The two homes I was in over there did all their coking over a brazer in the center of a recessed table in the "living room" floor.

Joan, I never saw one in the private homes I visited. However, the workers restroom in the manufacturing plant contained only holes about 5" in diameter set flush with the floor. The restroom was always very clean. I never could understand why their bombing accuracy wasn't better in WWII.

My dd thinks the egg would make a great library. :)

I'm not clean enough to enjoy the Japanese house.

That egg would make a good sewing or craft room, too.

Look cool, but not very practical.
People have been building "cool houses" for a long time.
Haven't seen any that were "Homes".
